Now this: She has organized a July 19 meet 'n' greet
at two locations with cast members from Survivor, Big Brother, The Mole

Origin of Reality 4 Diabetes:
By Tasha Wilkie (updated 03/30/04)
Thanks for visiting the site! I
was diagnosed with Type 1 (insulin dependent) Diabetes on September 21,
1998 and came very close to death. I have always been a big fan of
the show Survivor. I originally wrote Rodger Bingham and asked if
he could send me some pictures to sell on ebay to raise money for
diabetes research. He gladly sent over fifteen to help out and those
raised a lot of money! That was approximately three years ago.
I continue to sell autographed pictures of people who have been on the
show and give the profits to Reality 4 Diabetes.
I did my huge Senior English project my Senior year of High School on
the whole concept of Survivor and I got responses back from many of the
contestants. Since then, my mom and I have become close to many
Survivors and other Reality TV Stars from going to different charity
events all over the country.
I came up with the idea to have a fundraiser in Cincinnati with the
Survivors to raise money for diabetes research about a year and a
half ago I asked several of the Survivors about it and they were
very supportive.
Sincerely,
Tasha Wilkie
